Our Story

A group of Arizona whiskey enthusiasts — chasing the perfect barrel
◆ Who We Are
Born from a shared love of the pour

Barrelheads started the way most good things do — around a table, with good whiskey and better company. A group of Arizona enthusiasts who believed that the best single barrel picks deserved to be remembered, documented, and shared.

What began as informal gatherings evolved into a dedicated registry — a place to archive every barrel pick, capture tasting notes, and build a record of the bottles that defined our journey. Every pick tells a story. This is where we keep them.

“Every barrel is a decision. Every pour is a vote.” — The Barrelheads
01 The Pick Every bottle in the registry is a group-selected single barrel. No mass market. No shortcuts.
02 The Notes Every member scores and reviews. The registry is only as rich as the people behind it.
03 The Record A permanent archive of every barrel — the details, the art, the scores. Preserved for good.
◆ Arizona Barrelheads

Our group is proudly connected to Arizona Barrelheads — the legendary sticker and art card collective that captures the spirit of every single barrel pick through original artwork. Each pick in our registry has its own art card: a vivid, hand-crafted illustration that lives on as the identity of that barrel.

From Nocturne to Summerland, Oakthorne to Aphelion — every name, every scene, every card tells the story of a barrel we chose together. Arizona Barrelheads turns our picks into art. We turn them into history.

◆ How the Registry Works
1
A Barrel is Selected The group identifies and votes on a single barrel pick from a distillery. Details are recorded — proof, age, barrel number, mashbill, yield, and pick date.
2
The Art Card is Commissioned Arizona Barrelheads creates an original art card for the pick. Each card gets a unique name and illustrated scene that becomes the identity of that barrel forever.
3
Members Score & Note Members taste the pick and submit a score from 1–100 alongside tasting notes. The registry tracks the group average and every individual review.
4
The Registry Lives On Every pick, every score, every note is preserved permanently in the archive. Long after the bottles are gone, the registry remembers.
